Every singer arrives with something uniquely their own: a sound, a spark, a story waiting to be shared. At Sea Star Productions, singing lessons give young performers space to explore their voices safely, build healthy technique, and grow more confident with every note.

Rooted in the joy of musical theatre, students learn how breath, pitch, expression, and storytelling work together. They are supported as they strengthen their skills, care for their voices, and discover what it feels like to truly shine through song.

Classes with Singing

Ages 10-18

Sea Star Singers

A joyful vocal ensemble where young performers build technique, harmony, musicianship, and confidence while singing musical theatre, pop, jazz, and choral repertoire.

Ages 10–15

Broadway Styles

Students explore Broadway songs while building vocal confidence, choreography, character, and stage presence—learning how singing connects to the full magic of musical theatre.

Ages 6-8 + 8-12

Beginner Musical Theatre

Designed especially for ages 6–8 and 8-12, this fun and supportive class helps young performers build confidence, creativity, and teamwork through games, songs, movement, and storytelling.

Ages 4-6

Musical Theatre Minis

Our Musical Theatre Minis class is for our littlest performers, ages 4-6 and just 45 minutes long. This high-energy, imagination-filled class helps children build confidence while having so much fun.

A focused place for every voice to grow.

Some young singers are ready for extra support, whether they are preparing for a role, building confidence, or learning how to care for their voice. Private singing lessons at Sea Star Productions offer one-on-one guidance that meets each performer where they are and helps them take their next step with encouragement and care.

Lessons can focus on breath support, pitch accuracy, vocal health, musical theatre repertoire, audition preparation, and expressive storytelling. Students strengthen their technique while learning how to connect a song to character, emotion, and stage presence. With private lessons their voice will feel supported, confident, and truly their own.

Meet the Team

  • Charlotte Denton

    Charlotte is the founder of Sea Star Productions. Born and raised on the Saanich Peninsula, Charlotte began performing at age three and grew up immersed in Vancouver Island’s performing arts community. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, she worked professionally as an actor, singer, producer, casting director, and model across Canada, England, and Australia.

  • Cadee Emel

    Cadee has been part of Sea Star Productions since its very beginning. She is Charlotte’s first hired staff and TA and one of Sea Star’s most invaluable members, growing alongside this  loving vibrant community. With a deep love for Musical Theatre, she has performed in multiple productions including Newsies, Clue, The Outsiders, and Once Upon a Mattress, where she developed her passion for storytelling through song and character.

  • Katrina Nassichuk

    Katrina grew up on the Saanich Peninsula and began dancing at age 4. As a teenager she decided to pursue ballet more seriously and moved to a pre-professional ballet school in Victoria, training with some of western Canada's leading dance educators, earning awards with performances at festivals and competitions and high marks in her Cecchetti ballet examinations.

  • Lily MacGregor

    Lily is a choreographer for Sea Star Productions. She began working with the company in summer of 2024 as an assistant choreographer for our production of "Seussical Jr.", and has found such a joyful, uplifting community here at Sea Star. Lily grew up on the Peninsula, dancing at Allegro Performing Arts Centre for 13 years.

  • Gabrielle Eyford

    Gabby is super excited to be working with Sea Star Productions! Gabby grew up in Port Alberni and has been acting since age five. She has always been passionate about theatre and attended Vanarts Acting for Film and Television program in 2020. Gabby began teaching youth theatre in 2022 in Port Alberni and recently moved to Victoria and she is beyond excited to continue to share her love of theatre with the students of Sea Stars.

  • Gracie Vanthuyne

    Gracie grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and has been dancing and performing for as long as she can remember. Since the age of 3 she has been studying and performing in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical and Hip-Hop. She danced competitively all throughout her childhood. Gracie's passion for dance grew and she began expanding her skills into musical theatre.

  • Samantha Madill

    Samantha lives for theatre! She is very excited to be a part of Sea Star Production's team! Samantha has performed in many musicals including Matilda the Musical, Footloose, and Pinocchio the Panto. She has been dancing since age three and has trained in many styles including R.A.D Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Tap.
