Dance helps young performers feel the music in their bodies and share a story before they ever say a word. At Sea Star Productions, students build rhythm, coordination, and stage presence in a space that celebrates effort, creativity, and joy.

Inspired by musical theatre, each lesson helps students connect movement with character, confidence, and performance. Whether they are learning new steps or growing more comfortable onstage, young artists are encouraged to move boldly, work as a team, and let their energy shine.

Classes with Dancing

Ages 10–15

Broadway Styles

Students explore Broadway-inspired choreography while building rhythm, coordination, stage presence, and confidence. They will learn how movement, music, character, and storytelling come together in musical theatre.

Ages 6-8 + 8-12

Beginner Musical Theatre

A playful introduction to musical theatre where young artists explore movement, songs, games, and storytelling while building coordination, confidence, creativity, and teamwork.

Ages 4-6

Musical Theatre Minis

A fun-filled introduction to musical theatre where little stars explore music, movement, drama games, and storytelling while building confidence, coordination, and imagination.

One-on-one support for confident young dancers.

Some young performers are ready for extra support with dance technique, stage presence, or feeling more comfortable in their bodies onstage. Private dancing lessons at Sea Star Productions offer personalized guidance that meets each student where they are and helps them grow with encouragement and care.

Lessons can focus on coordination, rhythm, flexibility, strength, musicality, choreography, and performance quality. Students strengthen their movement skills while learning how dance connects to character, storytelling, and confidence, so they can step onto the stage feeling prepared, expressive, and ready to shine.

Meet the Team

  • Charlotte Denton

    Charlotte is the founder of Sea Star Productions. Born and raised on the Saanich Peninsula, Charlotte began performing at age three and grew up immersed in Vancouver Island’s performing arts community. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, she worked professionally as an actor, singer, producer, casting director, and model across Canada, England, and Australia.

  • Cadee Emel

    Cadee has been part of Sea Star Productions since its very beginning. She is Charlotte’s first hired staff and TA and one of Sea Star’s most invaluable members, growing alongside this  loving vibrant community. With a deep love for Musical Theatre, she has performed in multiple productions including Newsies, Clue, The Outsiders, and Once Upon a Mattress, where she developed her passion for storytelling through song and character.

  • Katrina Nassichuk

    Katrina grew up on the Saanich Peninsula and began dancing at age 4. As a teenager she decided to pursue ballet more seriously and moved to a pre-professional ballet school in Victoria, training with some of western Canada's leading dance educators, earning awards with performances at festivals and competitions and high marks in her Cecchetti ballet examinations.

  • Lily MacGregor

    Lily is a choreographer for Sea Star Productions. She began working with the company in summer of 2024 as an assistant choreographer for our production of "Seussical Jr.", and has found such a joyful, uplifting community here at Sea Star. Lily grew up on the Peninsula, dancing at Allegro Performing Arts Centre for 13 years.

  • Gabrielle Eyford

    Gabby is super excited to be working with Sea Star Productions! Gabby grew up in Port Alberni and has been acting since age five. She has always been passionate about theatre and attended Vanarts Acting for Film and Television program in 2020. Gabby began teaching youth theatre in 2022 in Port Alberni and recently moved to Victoria and she is beyond excited to continue to share her love of theatre with the students of Sea Stars.

  • Gracie Vanthuyne

    Gracie grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and has been dancing and performing for as long as she can remember. Since the age of 3 she has been studying and performing in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical and Hip-Hop. She danced competitively all throughout her childhood. Gracie's passion for dance grew and she began expanding her skills into musical theatre.

  • Samantha Madill

    Samantha lives for theatre! She is very excited to be a part of Sea Star Production's team! Samantha has performed in many musicals including Matilda the Musical, Footloose, and Pinocchio the Panto. She has been dancing since age three and has trained in many styles including R.A.D Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Tap.
